Spa FAQ’s

Are there any rules of etiquette?

Honor the environment with silence; it is one of tranquility and relaxation. Remember that your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed. The use of cell phones, cameras and electronic devices is not permitted in the spa. Arrive early. Don’t cheat yourself out of your relaxation time.

What is your cancellation policy?

All reservations must be secured with a major credit card. To avoid missed appointments and late cancellation fees please call at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

We understand that at times you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, because services are a guaranteed reservation 50% payment is required for the following: less than 24 hours notification to cancel or reschedule appointments, no show for appointments, and late arrivals.

When should I arrive for my treatment?

Get more out of your treatment by arriving 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and complete a new client evaluation.

Why do I need a credit card to book?

We require a credit card to guarantee your appointment however, your credit card will not be charged unless you fail to cancel more than 24 hours prior to the start of your appointment or are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment. What if I arrive late to my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening the effectiveness and your pleasure. You will still be charged the full fee for the appointment. 

What should I tell my SkinWin esthetician?

At SkinWin all guests receiving treatments have not only the right, but also the responsibility to communicate openly with their esthetician about their service during the treatment. Any special expectations, personal preferences and/or possible concerns about how a treatment is progressing should first be addressed directly with the esthetician who is providing the treatment during the treatment.

If you have a special request to make your treatment more enjoyable such as dimmer lights, softer music, a lighter or heavier touch, an extra blanket, etc. Please do not hesitate to ask.

If there are certain things you wish your esthetician NOT to do such as work on your feet, your abdomen or scalp/hair, please communicate your desires.

In addition, you have the obligation to let your esthetician know about any health related conditions that could potentially cause you discomfort or harm during the course of your treatment. This would include, but is not limited to: pregnancy, recent surgeries, diabetes, injuries, high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, shellfish or iodine allergies, and any other allergies.

All of our services are designed to nurture, relax, restore and meet your specific needs. We welcome your input and feedback.

What if I have some physical ailment, disability or allergies?

Please notify SkinWin at the time you are making your appointments and your esthetician at the beginning of your treatment. You will be informed if treatments are not recommended.

What should I wear?

It is recommended that you shower before receiving your treatment and that you disrobe for your spa services. Your esthetician will leave the room for you to disrobe and you will lay under a sheet on the table. Upon completion of the treatment, your esthetician will again step out of the treatment room to allow you to redress into your clothes. Our esthetician are trained in proper draping techniques for your comfort. You may elect to receive treatments in your bathing suit or undergarments. Please remove all jewelry before visiting SkinWin.

Facial FAQ’s

How soon will I see results?

After your first treatment, you will immediately notice cleaner, clearer, brighter, tighter and smoother skin. Regular, frequent facials lead to optimal results. Improvements will accelerate after each additional session. Please note that everyone’s skin is unique and individual results may vary.

Should men shave before a facial?

Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so at least eight hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

How many treatments do I need?

That depends on your individual needs. We believe in establishing a regular, convenient routine you can stick to both for treatment of any issues like acne or hyperpigmentation as well as ongoing maintenance to keep your skin clean, bright, healthy and breakout free. Our knowledgeable skincare professionals will work with you to create your ideal treatment plan based on your needs.

How often should I visit SkinWin spa?

We are firm believers in establishing a routine to maintain clean, glowing, healthy skin. Once you have achieved your personal skin goals like clearing acne, uneven skin tone, or reducing fine lines, we recommend a facial every two weeks. On average, SkinWin clients receive three facials per month.

Waxing FAQ’s

When is the best time to get waxed?

We need a quarter to a half inch of hair growth (about 10 days of growth) to effectively remove hair from it’s follicle. For women we recommend waxing one week after menstruation. Nerve endings have a tendency to swell and can be very sensitive the week before and during your cycle.
